Celebrating Success: Highlights from OK BPA State Leadership Conference

The excitement and anticipation were palpable as our group of students returned from the Business Professionals of America (BPA) State Leadership Conference, where they had the opportunity to showcase the skills they’ve honed through training. The results were spectacular, with several students achieving remarkable success.

Our students demonstrated their prowess in Desktop Publishing and securing top positions. In the Secondary division, Rachel Van Osdol claimed the coveted 1st Place in Advanced Desktop Publishing, while James Zabel and Ashley Rodriguez secured 2nd and 3rd Place, respectively, in Fundamental and Advanced Desktop Publishing. These students were finalists in Advanced Desktop Publishing, Ty Orr and Elaine Yang.

Not to be outdone, Vincent Sermersheim emerged victorious in the 1st Place position for Fundamental Desktop Publishing in the Post-Secondary Division. Vincent also showcased his versatility by securing 2nd Place in Advanced Desktop Publishing and Project Management Concepts.

James Pappano stood out in the Digital Marketing Concepts, clinching 2nd Place. Apoorva Dasari impressed as a finalist in Digital Marketing Concepts, while Chelsea Tjahjo and Lilian Du made their mark in Graphic Design Promotion. Preston McIntire was a finalist in Fundamentals of Web Design, and Ellie Kamler and Dylan Race were finalists in Computer Modeling.

Isabel Cardenas, Kadee Hantke, and Mariah Harrison joined forces to secure 3rd Place in Visual Design Team. Additionally, Isabel Cardenas, Kadee Hantke, and Mariah Harrison excelled in various categories, such as Digital Marketing Concepts, Fundamental Desktop Publishing, and Digital Communication and Design Concepts.

James Pappano impressed with his skills in Digital Media Production, earning a spot as a finalist alongside his success in Fundamental Desktop Publishing. Greyson Rose was also a finalist in Advanced Desktop Publishing.

The crowning glory of our achievements at the BPA State Leadership Conference is the qualification of Vincent Sermersheim and Rachel Van Osdol for the Nationals in Chicago, Illinois. As they embark on this prestigious journey, we extend our heartfelt wishes for success. Their dedication and hard work paved the way for this remarkable opportunity, and we are confident they will make us proud on the national stage.

The BPA State Leadership Conference was a testament to our students’ talent, dedication, and resilience. Each participant contributed to the success of our delegation, showcasing the skills and knowledge they have acquired through their training.
