Big things are happening in the Digital Media Design program at Francis Tuttle Technology Center!

Two students have officially qualified for the Adobe U.S. National Championship through the Spring Qualifier and will travel to Nashville this June to compete against some of the best student designers in the nation.

Congratulations to September Dunn from Edmond North High School and Sidney Marshall from EPIC Charter Schools on this incredible achievement!

Qualifying for the national championship is no easy task. Students must first earn their Adobe Certified Professional certification in either Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator. They must also submit an original design piece showcasing their creativity, technical skills, and ability to communicate visually through design.

At the national competition, students will meet with a real non-profit organization and spend the day creating professional marketing and design collateral to support the organization’s mission. Competitors must combine creativity, communication, teamwork, and technical Adobe skills to produce industry-level work under tight deadlines.

Experiences like this are what make Digital Media Design more than just a classroom experience. Students in the program work on real-world projects, build professional portfolios, earn industry certifications, and develop the creative problem-solving skills needed for careers in graphic design, animation, photography, video production, web design, motion media, and more.

From classroom projects to national competitions, our students are proving that creativity can open doors to amazing opportunities.

If you are passionate about art, design, storytelling, content creation, or technology, the Digital Media Design program at Francis Tuttle Technology Center can help you turn those interests into future career skills.

We are proud of September and Sidney and can’t wait to see what they accomplish on the national stage!
