Sophia and Grayson at Adobe US National Championship

We are thrilled to share the incredible journey of Grayson and Sophia, who recently returned from Orlando, Florida, where they competed in the prestigious Adobe US National Championship. This event, hosted by Certiport, brought together around 50 talented individuals from across the United States, all vying for the top spots in design excellence.

The Road to Orlando

The path to this competition was no easy feat. Grayson and Sophia had to pass their Adobe Certification in Photoshop, a testament to their technical skills and creativity. In addition, they had to submit original work that showcased their design abilities. Their hard work and dedication paid off when they were selected to represent Oklahoma nationally.

The Challenge

Grayson and Sophia were given a unique and challenging task upon arriving in Orlando. They met with representatives from Choose Kindness, a non-profit organization that promotes kindness and positive actions. The competitors were tasked with designing collateral pieces for Choose Kindness: they had only one day to complete their designs and were not allowed to use the Internet. This tested their creativity, resourcefulness, and ability to work under pressure.

Sophia’s Impressive Achievement

Out of the many talented participants, Sophia achieved an impressive 7th place! Her accomplishment is a testament to her exceptional design skills and ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. We are incredibly proud of her achievement and know this is the beginning of her bright future in the design world.

Beyond the Competition

The Adobe US National Championship was more than just a competition. It was an enriching experience filled with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Students attended Career Development Workshops, where they learned strategies for branding themselves and landing career opportunities from industry professionals. The Student Lounge provided a space for participants to relax, network, and exchange ideas with their peers across the country. The conference also featured excellent meals, ensuring that everyone was well-nourished and energized throughout the event.

Looking Ahead

For Grayson and Sophia, being selected to compete at this level was an honor and a milestone in their educational journey. Their experiences in Orlando have undoubtedly enriched their skills, expanded their professional networks, and fueled their passion for design. We are confident that both Grayson and Sophia will continue to achieve great things in their future endeavors.

Congratulations to all the participants, especially Grayson and Sophia, for their hard work and dedication. Here’s to many more successes and innovative designs!
